My two weeks holiday.

Two weeks break! 

For the past two weeks it had been the school holidays, a break from school, a bit of fresh air. 

Term 3 had just ended and so my 2 weeks holiday begun. I had planned to sleep through it all, similar to a bear in hibernation.That was what I had planned.What I intended to do. But most plans don’t go according to plan.

Sleep? ,Whats that? , never heard of it , well atleast I did ,but that was long before. PM to AM and AM to PM.Hearing the birds chirp was a sense of accomplishment .Slightly similar to the habits of those who binge watch. Long story short I stayed up and became sleep deprived. The End.

Have you ever heard of Tonga? Ever visited? If not this writing will surely help you understand the country Tonga!

What is Tonga? Tonga you ask, Tonga is a country located in the south pacific, an Island home to over 104,494 people, (The population in 2019, surely it’s grown bigger) The people there are very kind. The British explorer, navigator James Cook had landed on the Island on the 2nd of October 1773 and stated it as the “Friendly Island” due to the warm welcome he recieved. 

The people in Tonga are friendly, from my experience of going there once they were all very nice, the children are very lively. The people see each other as family. The beaches there are very beautiful, as a kid I enjoyed going down to the beach where the children had played with me and the adults watched as the children swam. 

You may have seen the flag before, the flag of Tonga consists of a red field with a white canton charged with a red couped cross. The flag symbolises purity. The red of the flag represents the crucifixion and the sacrifice of the blood of Christ. At Tonga Church is important, every saturday like other people at other countries the people go to Church including the children. They all sit in halls and sing songs, pray. At times there is usually feeds (Feasts) in a big hall where everyone gathers and eats. 

The food there is very different compared to the food from the city and towns. At Tonga there is usually always Lu, ever tried it? The drink I’ve drank many times as a kid there was Otai, a drink made from fruits, my favourite was the watermelon flavour and the mango. My favourite to eat was always Ota ika though. 

One day you should definitely visit! 

Trip to KPMG

 The trip to KPMG!

Yesterday the  year 7 & 8 extension group and a few selected group of year 7’s and 8’s went on a trip to a building called ‘KPMG’ down at the city, we left at 9:00am on a bus to the city. This was however my first time here, each term the extension group and others go down to KPMG. At KPMG we do many things like have a tour around the big building and onto each floor. It was quite a sight, many busy busy people. After touring we ate lunch which was multiple delicious food and did lots of experiments in groups. 

Experiencing this was a fun experience, all the facts we learnt there and this was a great learning opportunity to learn different things about space, working and many more.

The KPMG workers were all very kind and hard workers.

I would love to take another visit next term or perhaps another time!

• Tombs

                 People in egypt don’t Be put in graves and buried into the ground like usual Instead  they get put into tombs and wrapped in bandages, dead people are stored in tombs. Egyptians believed that once a person dies their spiritual body would continue to live in the afterlife, Tombs used to be dug in the dry desert but however this did not continue because Animals dug up the tombs. 

 

Since the people of  Egypt had many believes about the afterlife/ etc, in tombs there can be found things such as food, furniture and many other things a person would need in the afterlife.

 

Flat tombs that are made in Egypt are called mastabas, made out of mud brick or stone.

 

• Pyramids  

Pyramid, In egypt are made out of  limestone, pyramids are built by the egyptians and have been in egypt for centuries. Pyramids are also an tourist attraction and attract many tourists from all over the world. Pyramids are around 4,500 years ago.

Climbing pyramids are banned and dangerous and climbing an pyramid would give you around 3 years of prison.

“Hey stonk’s are you up for a challenge?” Asked Craig biting into his KFC chicken. “What sort of challenge?” Stonk’s asked. Craig then pointed to the bathroom door and grinned at Stonk’s. “What are you both up to now?” Robert asked sighing. 

“Oh you’ll see” Stonks smiled, Craig’s stomach the began to make rumbling noises and Craig knew exactly what was about to happen. Craig raced towards the bathroom and slammed shut the door going into one of  the stalls. Suddenly the bathroom door opened and somebody knocked on the door of his stall. 

“Hello?”, “Great, we can now do our challenge.” a familiar voice said. “Stonk’s???” Craig replied. “Can’t you see I’m taking a dump? Wait till after” Craig replied annoyed.  Then the stall door from the left to him opened and Stonk’s had went in. 

“The challenge is a farting challenge, I’m the world champ y’know” Stonk’s laughed in the next door stall, “You the world champ? Oh please. I got lot’s of gas and I’m ready to show you how it’s really done!” Craig laughed.

“May the best of the best win” Stonk’s smirked, the countdown began, 10 .. 9 .. 8 … 7 .. 6.. 5 .. 4 .. 3.. 2 .. 1! !

BLAST OFF..! Craig began with lot’s of, well explosives while Stonks was in the lead basically stinking up his own stall you could see all the ‘Air’ going into the ceiling, what  they didn’t know was that the door was still open . . . 

‘Explosions of stink’  filled the room and they basically filled the room with farts but lot’s went right out the door, stink bombs filled the entire room. Suddenly a angry man burst through and yelled “EXCUSE ME BUT YOUR INTERRUPTING PEOPLE TRYING TO EAT.” 

At the end they both got scolded and kicked out of KFC by Robert, the end :)

This week was the first week of term 4 , we have been learning about

Art and about graphs , Yesterday the 15th of october it was the first week of term 4 and this week I learnt how to read and interpret graphs . The next step is learning how to do Algebra after learning  How to interpret and read graphs , I learnt how to read graphs and interpret them which will be really useful to use in tests in case we have to interpret and read graphs  . For art yesterday in room 2 Ms Tapuke taught the class about a famous sculptor named “Alberto Giacometti” He is known for his amazing sculptors and many great Inventions he has made . We learnt lots about him and are currently making a poster to write down facts about him  . One small fact I know about him that he sold the most expensive sculptor ever for 141.3 Million Dollars sold at an auction , I really enjoyed looking at all the information about him and it was really fun to learn about a famous sculptor . These were the two highlights this week for me and I enjoyed doing both of these activity’s .

Hi , My Name is Elizabeth .  . . ! I Live in a small little cottage deep in the forest with my mom and little brother Chris , I am 9 years old ,  My dad passed away 2 years ago Due to cancer , It was really sad but I knew he was in a better place , we don’t get to visit my dad often but we try . Everything was running pretty smooth for us in the afternoon , Me and Chris were outside on a pitch black night looking for our puppy Yuki . My Mum was sleeping in her room , we didn’t wanna wake her up  so we headed out ourself (8 Months ago) “Yuki-! Where are you-? Come out its not hide & seek time” I heard twitching noises and chris hung onto me shivering . “Aw chris are you okay buddy-?” As soon as Chris could reply we heard a little bark , Chris zoomed off yelling “YUKI!” he ran off and I chase after him . Suddenly he fell into a black portal my eyes widened I looked down at the portal and then I saw red glowing bright eyes staring at me . I couldn’t see who it was but it looked like a something instead of a somebody or someone . Then the wind slammed against me like it was pushing me in- 

 I then started having the vision of the red eyes in my head and I felt like something was moving through-out my body and I felt really dizzy and I then hit the ground . “What are you doing here-?!” my eye sight becomes blurry then my ears start ringing crazy , I faint and I have a little dream . My dream was me floating in the air with only blackness around me . I See chris floating in the air then crying , it looks like he was crying blood , I start yelling “Chris-! Where are we?!” then the blackness gets swirled up and it looks like he’s in a cellar in a corner then- I Pulled up from my sleep seeing Mariel staring at me with other people I say “ Where am I?! And where were you!” she pauses me then says “Calm down , its fine . . . Now how did you get here?” I reply “Err- My little brother fell down the portal I fell in . . . “ she says “You looked like you were struggling in your sleep “ Then again I got ringing noises blasting in my ear my hair suddenly turned deep black and my eyes turned red . I grew little horns on my head and I didn’t feel like . . . Myself . . . A little portal appeared and dragged me in it . I found myself in a cellar lying next to crates and chris standing there with tears dripping down his eyes . It looked like he was scared of me . 

I look around and see other people staring at him like he was a piece of gold or something . They start racing towards him and somehow I ran to him like in a blink of an eye . I start growling at them and then . . . they were all lying on the floor with blood , I turn back into myself and . . . I see bodies lying on the ground , chris grows little black wings and a little halo appear from the top of his head . I see monsters around us and we teleport into a little room and we have a little flashlight appear in our hand then little doors on  the side . a little voice says “You will have to survive a few nights or a week to get out of here” Chris says “They want to get me … they told me last night that they would kill Yuki “ Then I hear noises coming from the doors . . . Then chris starts running to the doors flashing lights .

Their has been a new virus called Covid-19 it is  pretty serious and can affect a lot of people , a lot of people are staying inside locking themselves inside and reading updates from their Presidents + Prime - ministers , this Virus is pretty serious because a lot of dear people have passed which is a sad thing . What I suggest is by using a lot of hand sanitizer everyday and distant greetings like waves . Things you shouldn't be doing is Sharing food like biting pieces off and giving it to other people , even if its with your hands . You dont know what germs are on your hand and we don't want other people to catch this virus . Also something else you shouldn't be doing is drinking from other people's bottles because it can give you germs . Make sure to be listening to the news or any updates from the government and always make sure to wash yours hands after / before dinner and after you used the restroom . Also Covid-19 isn't the only virus you can catch their is a lot more so be careful and god bless you all and keep safe everybody .

My name is a french name Choosen from a beautiful place in the world called Paris ,  I am named after My cousin Her name is Valessa like mine and she is a mother and finished university not long , how they choose my name was when I was a small little baby (Few months old) My mother asked her oldest sister (My aunty Mele)  that lives In USA . She was really honoured to pick me a name! she had a few suggestions but the name she really thought that would be beautiful and match me was the name Valessa , she thought it was a really great name . She thought the name was really perfect and my mother had few thoughts but she thought it would match too , to me my name means Lovely because my name is really lovely and because it match’s me quite well .  So thats how I got my name .

Yesterday on Thursday 20th of  February Duffy came to our school to perfrom a play or put

on a show , We all went into the hall and their was a set up , as always and they sing songs and make shows about things , for example they were making a show about a mystical animal and how real it is . But this time they did a show about a animal mixed with 2 or 3 breed Half Cat Half chicken , The show was pretty entertaining if I do say so myself and of course their was singing and we all had to sing along . This show was pretty entertaining and I enjoyed it because it was funny at times and I liked the acting! The facial Exspressions , The Sounds , The acting and movements! . This show they did about the 2 breed animal was very cool and I enjoyed watching them prefrom a convincing Show , and what was even better was they had a book about the animal and it would be cool to read the book .
